Writing Articles Online

  • Always make a plan before you start.
  • Never edit your first draft.
  • Let your first draft sit for 24 hrs … fully un-edited.
  • List your main points in point form.
  • Never number count … say what you have to say.
  • Always “eye skim” … if it looks too long it is too long.
  • Try to include an image.
Hope these tips help in regards to writing articles online. Hope you can use them to derive more traffic to your website.

Now these points are not tips as such … more what has worked for me!
  • I always write my first draft with a clock … I use a Jerger Chess clock .. when the flag falls after 15 minutes I stop.
  • I never try to write novels, I always try to write brief, informative articles.
  • I never ever react to negative comments … take it on the chin. This point is critical online.
  • I try to keep the content key word focused. Stick to the topic.
  • I always back link to individual articles when ever possible.
  • I assume nothing about my audience.
Good luck … feel free to make a comment if you like & hope to see you back on my website soon.
